This course is designed for beginners in the field of ultrasound diagnostics. You will be learn how to examine the liver, gallbladder, pancreas, kidneys, spleen, aorta, vena cava, bladder, uterus, prostate gland, thyroid and the carotid arteries. Additionally, the emergency protocol for ultrasound (FAST or eFAST with sonograohy of the lungs) will be part of the course. We will also take a look at pathologies. Please be prepared to examine each other. Please prepare the anatomy of the abdomen and neck as well as the required vocabulary (medical terminology). The entire course will be held in English. If you want you can bring your own towel. |

| Ziel | The goal of this course is to be able to perform an ultrasound examination by oneself, to identify the organs, and to differentiate the regular anatomy from pathological findings. This course is supposed to be a preparation for a clinical internship, the practical year (PJ) or the daily routine as a doctor. |
